EnergyXT window resize crashes Live 4.1

I never had problem with other hosts, I tested it in tracktion, and in magix audio studio, and never noticed such a behaviour. live was only the only host which made ext crash when resizing in fact, that's why we thought it was a live related problem. not havingthe crash is already a good point, as you don't lose your work in a hard crash if you forget you can't resize. But I have to admit live+ext is a killer combination, and using them together without any probs, and without any frenetic resizing trys could be excellent!
anyway, thx for taking consideration of this problem.



--edit, I just tested in tobybear minihost, no problem, nor in FL studio demo.

Let me say things straight here. A plug-in that implements its own Handler to Size events and tries to resize in this very Handler is not behaving right. As mentioned before we did this to make all other VST plug-ins run correctly regarding resizing.

As you see we do care. I already told Jorgen in his forum on KVR how to fix the problem. As said before, if he cares to tell me more about his problems I might be able to help.

But this proves anything. I can say that thousends of other plug-ins don't lose their focus in Live, but that proves anything as well. But there are several hints that something is fishy with EnergyXT. I had several focus problems of other kinds with the Plug-in directory dialog and I've tested only a few minutes.
Also opening a dialog in the main function of a VST is absolutely illegal.

do you mean the deal is to resize live window, then force ext to follow the resize? I could try to tell some words about it to Jorgen.

I currently have no problem with ext plug in directory (can you explain a bit more??), the hints I also noticed is about hotkeys (F1..9) hat doesn't respond in live (eg F3 doesn't open the browser, you ll have to do it manually).
I really hope we can find a solution between "the only host wich refuse to resize" and "the only plug in that don't resize correctly".[/quote]

I think he is doing that part right now. The problem is how he composes his window and how activate events are handled.

Well energyXT asked me to find the directory, but all clicks into the dialog window had no effect. I could not naviagte, nothing... Only messing around with focus made the window useable to me.
