I used it to DJ in my cousins graduation party and it worked well. And I don't know shit about DJ'ing at all.
You can set it up for CUE'ing with headphones,but, I didn't know that until after the party.

Can one upgrade from Traktor Duo 2 to Traktor Pro 2 or are they considered different products?

Yup, it's all there on the NI page including feature comparison. Duo 2 -> Pro 2 upgrade = €129 (http://www.native-instruments.com/#/en/ ... ?page=2004)

I've been using, because the scene of the places where 4 to club DJ and all parties. We have a whole society in AbletonLiveDJ.com ABLETON-based DJ, if you want more information.
