Re: Me and my iPad

Mixtikl and Yamaha's tenori-0n app TNR-i are both great. For the Korg, check out YouTube Instructional videos for the hardware MS-20. Very helpful!
Basically it tries to upsize the screen images and interfaces that are optimized for the phone. Doesn't look very good IMO, lots of pixelation.Faark Orff wrote:To my knowledge, all iPhone apps are fine on iPad. I don't think it applies the other way round though.Breaks Dude wrote:OK so Nano Studio works/looks fine on the iPad? I thought it was a scaled up iPhone version. I don't see Nano Studio having a specific app for the iPad, only the iPhone.
What differentiates an iPad version to an iPhone? Is it just better graphics? Sorry if it is a dumb question, but I am new to all this. I have no issues with the way it looks as it is now.Tarekith wrote:Still works fine on the iPad, not not as clear looking. An iPad version is due soon.
Again let me say NanoStudio is a fantastic app. I have also been digging into the Korg iMS the last few hours and am more and more impressed. The whole iPad concept amazes me. Fantastic quality and functionality considering the price of these apps. Not only that, there is quite a lot of free stuff too that is pretty amazing. Looks like the days of software piracy are approaching to an end. But depending on how you look at it, do cheap prices undervalue what these apps are really worth in terms of the work and effort in creating this stuff? Great for consumers though.
Anyone out there have the Fairlight app and if so, what is it like?
wrong.jestermgee wrote:Touchosc... You can do everything that touchable can do plus a bit more. Both are nice tho.
I don't have wifi internat access. I have a landline, if that is the right term. So as far as I can see TouchOsc or Touchable won't work for me.23kon wrote:do you not have wifi card in computer?
or do you mean you dont have wifi internet access at home?
if your card is fine then you can setup your computer as a wifi network that you can connect the ipad to
Not sure what the confusion is here but you don't need "wifi internet access" to use touchOSC and other apps on the ipad wirelessly with your computer. You can set up wireless "adhoc networks" directly between your computer and the ipad without a need for any internet access or wireless router/hubs. On Mac computers, this is a built-in feature.Faark Orff wrote:I don't have wifi internat access. I have a landline, if that is the right term. So buying a wireless haub and adapter won't work.
This is actually the preferred way to use either MIDI or OSC wirelessly as there is much less jitter than going through a router.delicioso wrote:Not sure what the confusion is here but you don't need "wifi internet access" to use touchOSC and other apps on the ipad wirelessly with your computer. By the way, touchOSC can now be used with MIDI via a USB connection or even regular MIDI DIN connection via MIDI Mobilizer.
