Good day Sir!

and to answer your question.. how the fuck would we know that? ask ableton!
who are you? Willy Fucking Wonka? listen, pal!
in fact, there's nothing to see here... move along!
Alright Mr. How-the-fuck-would-we-know-that?… I've had enough of your disrespect. People using profane language like you are should be banned from this forum to begin with. WATCH YOUR MOUTH! It's more than obvious that you don't have any manners but at least have some respect to others reading your dirty offensive words.
On another note, this topic is coming about because if we take into consideration pretty big update for Ableton Live which makes it compatible with OSX Lion, they should have implemented 64 bit native support while working on this update... it just makes sense!! A 64 bit native OSX Upgrade.... Get it? This is why I refuse to "move along".. I know Ableton listens to its customers and I'm confident they will make it right for us at this stage in the game… I feel bad however that in the middle of all this they have put up with and read/listen to know-it-all, profane and vulgar language coming from people like you... I hate to go there but it's thanks people like you that they hate us Americans all over the world… you probably don't know that because you never left Orange County, CA to begin with. Just watch your mouth and stop making us look bad fool!!
Truly yours,
Willie Fucking Wonka

Why should we use more CPU to use Live. Ridiculous.

Probably this would make sense, but I think you miss the fact, that porting an application to 64bit is a little more work than exchanging a "32" with a "64" at some points of the code. Seems to be a lot of work and is definitely something that will come with a major update. And just the fact that Lion is a major update for your operating system hasn't anything to do with a minor update of Live making Live work on that OS.

Yes, surely you did, but what has 64bit support to do with "more CPU" as you wrote above? The OP and some others wrote about the advantage to use more RAM with a 64bit system, what defenitely can make sense if you work with huge sample-sets. But that has neither to do with the number of CPU kernels nor is it ridiculous.

Ableton currently have prior job to spend their time rather than wasting their time to develope 64bit native version for noob fanboys. There are currently no business opotunity for scrapping most of all plugins in the world and cost CPU to get it. You are living in different world from where people are really making music on the computer. Loud minority

Be sure to be on the wrong path yourself by thinking that.

Haha, I don't know where you live, so maybe southern Germany is very different from that. But if you would have read my further contribution to this thread, you would even have read, that I don't care much for 64bit support at the moment myself. And yes, I didn't ever make any music - just hanging around here the whole day and beside selling silence on CD for 12 years now and on demand nowadays.
Btw again you managed to direct the original intention of a thread to something quite different, you old noob hijacker you!
