hehe, nice try re: non-specific pronoun.
Anyway you're still missing the point. You personal gui preference, also mine & kev herb's, don't matter. Your assertion that the faux-hardware GUI is a phase that's over is simply wrong. That's all kev & myself are saying.
Repeating why it's not your preference is not going to make your statement true.

It was their GUI that made me want to buy it. Same as Live, I like the 8 bit looking GUI.Press Enter wrote:If the GUI isn't for you, it isn't for you. It's not for me either.
But the ''replace hardware'' phase isn't over. Not by a long stretch. Reason and it's faux-hardware paradigm are great for educational purposes. And it's a niche they more-or-less have to themselves. End of story.
If Reason becomes more mainstream than a niche, I think it will lose it's popularity.

Although im not sure this comment is exactly right, perhaps this explains why the hell they refuse to give it a MIDI out even under the enormous demand. Its the only logical explanation so far that I can apply. If Reason becomes more mainstream than a niche, I think it will lose it's popularity.

It's a pain rewiring Reason 6 in Ableton now. Man, my 65% CPU in Reason is 97% in Live. Can't work with that.
Equipments: Softwares, hardwares, plastics and metal controllers, computers, headphones, a pair monitor speaker, and electricity to power them up.

mothergarage wrote:3. Using Reason with ReWire on a 64-bit operating system
If you are running a 64-bit OS, Reason will automatically install and run in 64-bit mode. However, if you are using
ReWire, there are a couple of extra considerations:
* Both the ReWire host and Reason must run in the same mode (32-bit or 64-bit).
* To use ReWire in 64-bit mode, the ReWire host application must have support for 64-bit ReWire. If not, you
need to run both programs in 32-bit mode.
Here's how you run Reason in 32-bit mode under Mac and Windows, respectively:
Mac
1. Make sure Reason isn't running.
2. Select the Reason application in the Finder and choose "Get Info" from the File menu.
3. Turn on the option "Open in 32-bit Mode".
The next time you launch Reason it will run in 32-bit mode.
from the readme
This post totally worked.
I was thinking all the same as previous posts: I just got the demo mode running, maybe it will work when I get the disk/ignition key for Reason 6..
I got the ignition key, maybe its because I haven't registered everything...
Turns out its the 32 Bit vs. 64 Bit difference
Follow the steps above, problem solved (for me at least, so far)
Cheers to the Ableton community

that doesn't sound right.. maybe give more details of your system..chelemasty wrote:It's a pain rewiring Reason 6 in Ableton now. Man, my 65% CPU in Reason is 97% in Live. Can't work with that.
