Ah, so all those turntablist DJs using Serato Scratch Live (on a computer) are using 11ft poles?

I mean that's one reason why Ableton teamed with Serato for The Bridge....

I reckon there are a lot of DJs out there (of all styles) that would love to use Ableton Live for DJing - if only it had scratch, pitch controls, a browser and so on.

You can even see for yourself, with the hindsight that is Google search, that when The Bridge was announced, DJs were praying for the ability to scratch clips etc. and when it didn't come, there was great sorrow across the land.

@DJ/Producer discussion:
If you break it down to this: Which category fits Ricardo Villalobos or Shed or Ben Clock or Ellen Alien or or or? ;-)
I think one can fit in different categories.

mac won't fix it. Because mac is ralatively low spec than win in the same price range. Low spec means more latency. If you use tools improper way you'll get odd response. It came firstly. OS isn't the matter.

as you point out...you can't scratch...but any dj that is THAT "true to form"wouldn't touch ableton let alone a computer with a10ft pole Regardless of ability to scratch. To be honest I don't think theres a market for ableton in this direction and things like the bridge allow em to tap in the dj market without actually going head to head with other companies.
I hear you, but myself and a ton of "old skool dj's I know, have embraced live, traktor and serato.The expanded possibilities of these programs is too tempting.... Its like having 4 decks on steroids..
