No. Roland bought Live and no Mac version for future version because it will be merged to Sonar.
Ableton Live 9 will be merged to Sonar. And no Mac version.

Apple has already bought Bitwig.

I was in Berlin last week and bumped into a DJ friend of mine who shall remain nameless. But he assures me Live 9 will come with the long fabled 3 gigs of farmyard animal samples.
Re: Any Current, Credible Ableton Live 9 News
actually I also heard they were going to do that, but apparently new owners Roland / Presonus have ruled it out, for obvious reasons.

They also bought the word "noob" so you'll either have to leave the internet or prepare to incur some hefty licensing fees.pencilrocket wrote:Apple has already bought Bitwig.

I have heard from a close friend and big dance star that Live 9 will have a brand new interface that allows direct and indirect redistribution of the GUI parts. This will allow users to incorporate unique personilsed changes to the GUI enabling a more enhanced user experience and help create a better all round DAW for music production.

I heard that the delay is due to Sony refusing approval of the Playstation3 version. There seems to be two huge bugs with recording automation by use of the playstation move controller and the fitness view next to arrange and clip view.

I heard that Live 9 will have an artificially intelligent device that connects to your brain and makes the music inside your head.
Re: Any Current, Credible Ableton Live 9 News
I heard they are going to scrap the whole numbering system, like Apple did, because it looks silly.
So the next version of Live is actually called Live "Albert".
