can you hear the audio if you put an audio file (wav, aiff, or mp3) on an audio track and hit play? can you see your levels on the mixer bouncing up and down? Please answer me, THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT!!!

i dont know how to put an audio file in but the mixer does move up and down, it recognises the keyboard but im just not hearing the sound from it

Which of Live's instruments have you got loaded into the channel you are using?

did you arm the track?

this has been asked but you didn't answer (i don't think).

if you see the green lights bouncing up and down on a track when you bang on the keyboard then the signal is coming in, but you have to enable the track... its the button to the right of the track (in arrange view). will be red when it's armed.

P.S. press TAB to switch from Arrange to Session view and back again.

This is the sort of thing that the manual is for. Please take a look at it. It's quite good you know.

To play an instrument, set input 'track' on. also arm the track, or monitor to 'in'.and of course put an instrument in it. and if this instrument is a simpler, put a soundfile in it....
And please please please read the manual.

Well we were trying to help and see what the problem was, but you know... if the guy doesn't even know how to bring an audio file into Live, then yes, he should RTFM because he won't even know how to accomplish what we are suggesting.
