Good article and advice.
So much art seems to be dark and tasteless these days. Perhaps it's a reflection of the times we live in, I don't know, but there's a lot of crap out there with absolutely no real substance or purpose behind it, beyond the short-lived shocks and attention it might receive. It's all become so conventional and boring.

If only I had time to invest in digging through Soundcloud!

It certainly helps and I do find some interesting music through nosing around but as someone working long hours, commuting, writing my own music and DJing, it'd be nice to have a bit more variety served up on label shaped plates!
