limited budget.

I'm sure there are iPad apps designed to teach kids how to site read.

there you go... you can get a decent guitar or bass for less than the price of most iThings.

you can get a good enough keyboard to learn piano on.

you could also get a drum machine.

i mean an app that looks like a frame around the hole on a guitar is cute and all, but there is no digital substitute for a stringed instrument. never. will. be.

indeed giving him the E35 is the cheapest idea... but it's really bad looking, I think one or two keys have been broke and glued back...

what I should offer him is some time with him... but we don't see that much often, but I could make an effort some times :wink:


the little korgs seem nice too...

Something like a Casio CZ-230 might be suitable, if you can find one.
