people are asking for different things to suite their work flow, most of what people want has been available from competitors for a very long time.

things like dual monitor support, real tempo mapping (not the half ass tempo mapping of al that introduces warping artifacts when mapping long tracks), read, write and touch automation mode, and session view automation along with huge list of tiny workflow improvements. the lack of session view automation comes as a shock to new users, most people think wtf? really its lacking something this obvious?

you could ask 'then why dont they just switch to another daw?' the reason people don't want to switch completely is because no current daw has session view nor the extreme ease of use and well thought out interface of live.

*i suck, i had to edit this 4 times !!! :x :x *

5th edit, I also do see everyone else's point though, after 3 years of complaining and reading other complaints it does make you feel like "who gives a shit" "what does it all mean" "these forums have turned into garbage" "maybe bitwig"

exactly - no other daw has session view so why do people assume there would be session view automation?
