well imo the stock synths of ableton Live are bit weak for trance. tried to make a saupersaw with operator or analog? its cpu killing and sounds not really that fat as with other 3rd party vsts.
for trance basslines the stock synths are great.
well i have here FM8, Massive, Sylenth1, Omnisphere and Nexus(no expansions - the factory expansion is right enough) and then some racks i made for ableton and doing fine with that.
i think v9 will get closer to use less 3rd party stuff to make trance.

Yes, Abletons Live 9 is closer to trance and less 3 partty, but no duel monotor support, so it is now time to upgrade to big Apples Thunderbolt display. But new Live has automations on session view and the 64 bit arpagrregator - perfect for TRANCE!! My Launchpads are liking Live 9 so far!

i dont really see why to use a arp plugin? i find myself copying from midis or tracks the plk patterns - its more flexible imo and you can add easier swing to it.

I will probably use that combined WITH SOME GOOMBA TRAP to reach #1 on BEATPORT.
NOW I WILL WAIT FOR LIVE 9 AND KEEP HUMMING TRANCE NOTES
meanwhile, I can't believe you're actually evilevilerevilest/ awlsome.

all evilevilerevilest and I share is a love of trance and PLUR and arpagrregators
