Hmmm - that's a bit of a deal breaker for me.
Apart from testing who is going to use it on any serious projects if you can't go back?
Even if you create new projects you may well find yourself saying "I need to use this feature for this song which is not available or doesn't work in 9 and I need to go back"
but you can't - so you are in trouble.

I look at it this way: I've got plenty of older projects and ideas lying around that I want to finish eventually, but that I don't really need to churn out immediately. I'll simply reserve these for the L9 beta and be patient about it, and make sure that more critical work gets done in Live 8.

This is how betas work; otherwise it's just a release...

Not all betas work like this - if the file format doesn't change you can go back to a previous version as long as the project file has not been corrupted.
Anyway - no big deal - I will have a look but not use it for anything serious - at least at first.

Since i got it i made everything with the beta. I already released 3 Tracks completely Done in live9. For me its more stable than 8
Edit: you wont find them on my soundcloud Account in the signature As they are from different projects.

Cool man - where can we hear them?
Can you point out if/where you used the new features?

Getting a much higher latency with L9x64 than 8. AP2496 at 512 samples - 18ms latency. I have no other DAW that hits this. Highest in other DAWs is 12ms.
