download is available. I'll be super stoked if someone actually chops it up and makes something out it!

this is the lake I was on, middle of the widest part.

Even for someone who grew up around frozen lakes, walking across a 2.5 km of ice is pretty surreal. it's so windy on that lake, that I've never even risked been out on it on a canoe.

there used to be a site where you could stream some mics under the antarctic ice - no idea what it was called now it was a few years ago - you could hear ice falling off and whales n shit..

Haven't even had a chance to listen to this but I get the feeling it will fit in here...

Stereo underwater recording of burning embers of wood using two Aquarian Audio H2a-XLR hydrophones.

yeah, that popped up on my soundcloud the other day! really cool!

I'm really excited to get into some more field recording. most of my most recent songs have been based around embarrassing/gross samples I've recorded of my friends, haha

That is so cool. Thanks for sharing.

This is what I love about sound/music. I never thought that would come from a frozen lake and living in South Australia I doubt I would ever experience a frozen lake (have never even seen a flake of snow for real or fake).
