MM, I think for many is cheaper getting push+suite at 798 and then sell our suite license for more than 198, but i wonder how many people would wich to pay more thasn 198 USD for suite.

Yeah, I don't really get it. Its 199 for me to upgrade to 9 suite and 748 to push/9 suite. Sweet water has push for 599, so i am only saving $50 by upgrading?

Best option for me is to grab Push at Guitar Center via current 15% discount to make it $509, and then upgrade to suite for $199.

So that's $708 to get Push and Live 9 Suite coming from Live 8 Suite/M4L. Pretty expensive upgrade.

I'm still of the opinion that if I spend $500 - $600 on Push I should be upgraded from Suite8/M4L for much cheaper than $199.

Just a word of warning - I recently got one of those 15%-off coupons emailed from Guitar Center, and of course, in very small type at the bottom is a caveat saying something like "not all manufacturers have elected to participate in this promotion." There is a URL you can go to to see the list of non-participating manufacturers (nice touch, Guitar Center - a URL in an email that is not a working link.) Out of curiosity, I checked it out and it looks to me like pretty much every brand Guitar Center carries is on the excluded list. I'm not really sure what you could apply the 15% discount to, actually!

Anyhow, check the list and make sure that Ableton is not on it, or you may be in for a surprise!

back in the days i heard something about a promotion upgrade price for Suite 8 and M4L user. Is 169 EURO the promotion price???

My price for 9 Suite went up...
Suite 9 + Push remains the same.

Live 8 Suite user here.

Gonna have to check about whether my upgrade price has changed or not. Still stoked that it's coming so soon. Can't wait to get my filthy paws on Push! Been using the Beta of 9 for a while now so the official upgrade won't be all that exciting but I am very happy with the changes. Haven't explored all of the new Max devices yet either. Damn paying job!!

$159 for vanilla 8 -> 9 upgrade is a great price. Def gonna upgrade on the 5th.

It's less if you just upgrade to standard. Think you'll still get all the toys, just not the sounds. But it's a lot of packs for not much more money.

Uh, you definitely would not get all the toys, you would get Live 9 standard, with only drum racks, simpler, and impulse. You would lose *ALL* the Suite instruments. Max 4 Live I think would still carry over though, but that's because it was a separate purchase.

No, they stated you keep the instruments.
