Indeed. I am using ahk myself. It is far from ideal. Properly functioning keyboard navigation in Live would be so much better.

Alt+arrows are back!

I made it (and many other keys) for Windows:

GoodKeys for Ableton Live

It’s smart hack in one exe-file (made in AutoIt) and MIDI remote script. Installing and using very easy.

Mouseless selecting any track or clip also available:
