You asked if bringing up your mouseless scrolling blah-blah was appropriate. I responded. The thing is that the OP had a problem with scrolling. Your first response was "Nope. How and where are you scrolling exactly?". Wow. That's very helpful, indeed. Then you proceed to plug your 3rd party-reliant scheme, which is tantamount to offering someone a fountain pen at the stationery when all they wanted was a goddamn pencil.Funk N. Furter wrote:
I wish people like you would just keep quiet and stop causing a massive song and dance every time I post. You should be ashamed of yourself. My post was highly relevant. Yours however is not.
People like YOU are killing this forum, filling it up with useless bitch off-topic nonsense.
Do you have anything USEFUL to add to this thread?
The thing is that it IS you who are killing this forum: when someone calls you out, asks you to tone down your incessant self promotion, you get all defensive, debating endlessly whether or not what you wrote could be considered relevant, spammy or annoying, occasionally interrupted by a declaration that you're not going to keep responding to "off-topic banter," before you keep arguing anyway. You've apparently developed a combined persecution/martyr complex: you think everyone is out to get you, when all we want is a thread without you bringing up your site (which is already in your signature, which is a perfectly acceptable form of promotion, as long as it's not overly intrusive).
When you posting a link to your site in a discussion spawns an off-topic debate about whether or not that link was appropriate or relevant, you have to entertain the possibility that MAYBE it's not the people pointing it out that are at fault.
