can this coexist with the default user mode, or does it kill it when installed?

Me too, just haven't figured out a way to handle it yet. I should have it worked out prior to release.
lo.key wrote:a question though, the touchstrip, the manual says you change the selected control by clicking on it with the mouse, is there no on-push way of changing the selection?
Not currently, but I'll see if this can be added for the next update.

When PXT-Live is configured in Live, selecting User Mode will select PXT-Live functionality, there is no default User Mode to select.

i took a look at the manual, and i understand now. i had assumed that this was a script hack, but it is actually external and assignable in midi prefs. excellent, i'll sign up!

This is a fantastic bit of user development. I am severely impressed.

Only got to spend about half an hour with it last night, but wow - looking forward to seeing how things go from here.

Hell yes it did. Ableton needs to send this guy at least $1000 right now.

Nice. Graphics would be very appreciated!
All these modes are quite hard to grasp.
Ofcourse all the mapping of the buttons (maybe printable overlay?)
but also the grasping of the whole tree of modes and submodes.
Maybe colourcoding would be an idea?

Got pxt yesterday. My push finally beat my monome.
This stuff is crazy. Loopingadjustments with the buttons is so much fun.

Why Ableton have not hired Stray and pay him lots of money is beyond me.

All I can add to this conversation is.. PXT is incredible and is a must have for any Push owner.
There I said it and all he needs now is for someone famous to say it and the job is done

..now if only there were some famous people using Push. :)

Thanks for the offer. I'd be very interested in this. I've responded to your PM. Please contact me through the email address I mentioned in the PM regarding what you'd need from me to get this going.

Sorry to hear that. I did my best to make things as intuitive as possible, but there is much functionality on offer.

I'd suggest taking it one step at a time. For example, learn how to use one of the modes and then move on to the next.

As an aside, graphical references and videos will be available in the future, which will certainly help ease the learning curve.

Its the amount of functionality indeed. I think you did a very good job in getting it intuitive! Also the button/function-choices are well thought about. But i guess youve become a master in that after all your products for all these different controllers.
