Turns out the crackling appears when I turn the delay dial and the sync is on. Sync Off and its fine.

ooohhh yeah that would do it lol..... With sync on, you are changing the delay in sharp steps, hence the clicking Enjoy, aside from ableton, Dubstation is probably my favourite bit of software ever
