In fairness, I think he was D Reamonn at the time and I thought it was pretty out of line and mean, so I'll give you that.

The thing is, after all this time, despite your recent weeks of evidence gathering, nothing has happened. I don't doubt all of this is being monitored, and any evidence for any behavior for everyone here is.....evident. So....unless Ableton gave you some sort of 'evidence threshold' which I highly doubt, nonetheless would've have already been met, all this is enforcing the cycle of negativity. You may think it's shining light on others bad behavior, but the results of all that you're doing hasn't been changing anything or making it more positive.

If it's cathartic, I understand, but I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for the ultimate justification you're looking for.

I can't discuss the details. I'm not sure what will happen. It's early days. I'm just standing up for what's right, and opposing what's wrong. My conscience is clear, and as far as I'm concerned so is my record.

Even if I would take that at face value, which I'm not. To what end?! Nothing what-so-fucking-ever will come through this. You (as we all) are powerless and just a guest. If Ableton wanted to ban you (and I don't understand why they don't), they could do it with impunity. Just as the owner of the local pub can throw you out, whenever he feels like it.

As Ableton is effectively a commercial business don't you think that there won't be a winner in this and instead you'll all get banned?

I imagine this is not what you want to hear, and in fact probably are all looking for some kind of win and triumph out of this, having been involved in things like this over the years my advice... Start choosing your new usernames now....

But the reason I asked how she saw it is, like how you make your quoted sigs sometimes, is you can unintentionally re-victimize the victim by including them in your blaming. Like that time you kept mentioning a forum member who confided in someone about their depression.

It's sort of like calling out in a room full of strangers 'this woman was raped by this person'. You're also making the woman feel really uncomfortable.

You are probably right and that's a shame, but Funken not letting it go and making ever more threads about it unfortunately keeps us from just letting it go. He is not only creating threads, he is derailing others, and that let's all of us suffer.

What do you mean by calling for?! I'm expressing my opinion, just as you express your opinions about me quite openly. But calling for implies, doing something about it. Either asking the mods, or rallying other users around this "cause". I don't do either, and never would. Because that would IMO actualy be bullying.

This is where you get delusional. If they would want to ban you, they would have already done so. There are no negative consequences for them to expect. Just like a bar owner can throw out who ever they desire.

This is delusional. There is nothing you could sue anyone about. Well you can sue, but no court would even look at it. But if you ask a lawyer, they will tell you something else, because they like taking money from uninformed clients.
But let's say there would be something illegal you are documenting in your little public evidence gathering. Which countries justice system would you like to sue at? If it's a poster (i.e. me) how well versed are you in the German judicial system? The Swiss? the American?
Those things are not easy, even if there are important things on the line. With these petty disputes it's just a collosal waste of resources and time.
Why don't you use either to make more of your helpful tutorials or music or read some more about Marx.

I'm not calling for Galt to be banned. I'm saying that a "moderator" allowing him to harrass and insult my fiend like that and get away with it, and allowing rampant trolling and harrassment on the forum, while at the same time telling people within Ableton that I have been going round insulting people, in order to harm my website, and banning Myrnova for no reason I can see, is a fucking DISGRACE.

Sometimes it is just the better decision to let that disgrace not bother you. It's really not worth it.
Look we all spend way too much time on these boards, for whatever reasons we might have. Let's at least let us all try to not make it time spend in anger and hostilites any longer. Let's talk about music, cycling, movies, things we cook...whatever, but not petty fighting.

Actually Myrnova posted a naughty hoax gif of Katy Perry that didn't last long, and he was banned not long after that, so that could've been the technical reason.

How do you know for sure that Galt complained to Ableton? Or that anyone intended to harm your website?

This might not be that different from Myrnova, where he frequently tested the banning border, and knew that if was banned he'd be right about his white supremacy angle even though it could've easily been because of the Perry pic.

Well he says he did, and he posted emails supposedly between him and David.

But that was unrelated. This was about the Mandela thread. And while he was a hypocrite, he was not wrong. You did behave rather badly in that thread. So while it might be reason for you to be angry with him, that's also where it should stop. It was not slander and it was not a big thing. Well except that this probaly caused the politics ban, but there is nothing we can do about it anymore, so we should just drop it.

See this is the thing. This is what will have to be thrashed out. As far as I'm concerned, I've never been deliberately nasty to anyone, unless they were to me fist, and often it was something I put up with many times before snapping. There is such a thing in law as provocation.

You can't cherrypick, you have to take the context into accounnt.

Machines made a very good post comparing Trotsky with one of the Nazi leaders, saying that the Nazi leader (I forget which one) was very polite, before he sent you to be executed for disagreeing with him.

I have called people names, but 99% of the time it's been jokey banter, and 1% of the time it's been because I have snapped after constant harassment for weeks and months, all ignored by the "moderator"

And I have not called anyone an insulting name in anger since my warning which was around March 2013.

Besides, the person I called a 'puerile twat' wasn't even bothered! I do regret that, but at the time I was doing a thread about gay marriage, as it had just been passed in parliament, and a load of people were derailing the thread. And twat has been used hundreds of times on this forum. It's not even a swear word. It's not much stronger than twit where I come from, but nobody says twit because they would sound like a twat.

Nobody would make a big deal about calling someone else names, if you wouldn't. It's you who is making a big issue about it.
