Re: version 9.1 RULES.
Any of you guys on Mavericks and Live 9.1 tried the 64bit version? While I had the occasional crash it works very well for me. I'd also get on the beta program. Been on it since 9.1beta and not one crash during the beta period.
Basic gear info: Macbook Pro with macOS 10.12, Ableton Live Suite version 9 (64bit) with Ozone, Push and APC20 as controllers.

Re: version 9.1 RULES.
i use Mavericks and Live 9.1 in 64 bit. i haven't had a single issue. not a crash or even a hang... BUT... i have used very few plugins/VSTs... Battery 3, AAS String Studio, Waves IR-L reverb and Waves De-Breath fwiw.
i won't sit here and type as though there are no issues with Live 9.1 but their hasn't been any for me.... yet. i'm thankful for that and sorry for those of you who have.

Re: version 9.1 RULES.
+1 - this behaviour is kind of annoying, BUT the addition of dual window support is hugely welcome even with this annoying behaviour and is IMHO the single bigest workflow improvement for me since switching to Live 6 from watever version of cubase I was using tthe time (3SX or whatever???).njh wrote:rule #3 be a realist
The dual window function doesn't work as a human would expect.
When I openthe midi editor in one window and then click on a clip in arrange view in another my view changes to whatever live wants me to see and not what I want to see.
1st complaint: Dual monitor support is broken/keeps changing the view for you.
Another annoying behaviour of Live in general and the dual window mode in particular is how it does full scren on OSX - why cant it full screen both windows, or let you set which one is full screen and why cant they implement the normal apple fullscren icon in the title bar.
Finally it is possible to see the mixer while in arrangement view and finall I dont miss logic or cubase as much. I just wish they wish finally get around to adding nestable folder tracks.
Nothing to see here - move along!
Re: version 9.1 RULES.
I wish I knew how to get to to work for everyone.
Some of my projects take a while to load, but it's really more about the gobs of plugs (like kontakt/etc) that I use. My "template" I launch with starts almost immd except for where a new plug is added. Even the older non SSD computer live loaded up quickly.
EDIT: FWIW, live WAS slow when 9 was in beta. PAINSTAKINGLY slow. It's gotten faster with each version for me though.
