Like you, i'm really waiting for something, can it be possible to update Omnisphere ?
eyeknow wrote:People have been asking about an RMX update for a long time now. I don't know if/when it will happen.
anyone know the birthday date of Spectrasonics? that could be the big day

I have a strong feeling about both..the Omnisphere update and the RMX 2.0, which is a perfect number to celebrate their 20th anniv.
I actually like their business model. Releasing a new version after a long period of time, while providing quality updates to the current version. Specially what they've done for Omnisphere. Just hoping for the same quality update for Stylus as well, which actually the one that needs more frequent updates, since the Rhythm trend is come an go so fast, by workflow or sound content.
leida wrote:For me, it's the best vsti synth ever, even if some things are missing.
For example, why not a decent piano inside ?
but, i think we won't be disappointed...
certainly the best..I remember the old days, when I was dreaming of collecting all of their sampling CD from the Legacy catalog. Now, almost everything are on my pc, without limited RAM memory and long loading time of the old samplers. All within a decent interface.
Let's see about what's coming next..Omni wasn't designed for traditional instruments. May be a Trilian style specialized product, focusing on the instruments missing from Omnisphre. Which is ideally using 4 layers for a more expressive articulation. Honestly, those type of traditional acoustic/hybrid sounds is what I've missed so much from the old JV/JD modules. Something that I think, what Eric does best.
jestermgee wrote:Ableton should be providing the integration with their product but just like you with your re-jugging of parameters for Push I like to just find my own way and press on. I had the VSTs before Push so I will make it all work like always. Part of the fun I guess. Little boring if everything always works and you can't tinker.
great work there, hopefully will get more support from Ableton or other vst companies. all the best and I'll be watching closely.

Sorry to be such a debbie downer, but you've made these posts in the last YEAR and nothing has happened.
Meanwhile, at other sites like KVR, there have been many threads in the last 1 1/2 years about "something new" coming.
Wake me when it happens

Last year was a short waiting period, we've been waiting for so many years
Just can't wait to share the excitement..hopefully it's really happening this time!

But knowing Specrasonics there won’t be an upgrade available to current users. Better be mind-blowing if they expect people to pay full price again.

But usually a special price for the VIP users who own all of their current products.

Sweet. I qualify.
Don't need it though.

Omni 2
http://vimeo.com/117503596 199,-$ VIP-Upgrade
I love them, but i am pretty sure, i will not be able to map one of the new 400 OSC-Waveforms.
I`ve got here a apc40 and tried to make Omnisphere go along with it, but certain parameters
like layerswitch are simply not mapable. So with Omni1 i`ve got a Synth and i can only change
the OSC` waveforms via mouse !
since i`ve wrote spectrasonics, i know that
omnisphere is to much complex to integrate hostautomation to all paramaters.
anyway i am in with the upgrade, just the possibility to add own Audio, automate
the arp is worth it. i hoped just they make the good Filters and FX of Spectrasonics
accessable via VSTi, or lately give it an InPut.
:/

I'm happy enough for being able to use the Alchemy sample libraries and my other samples within Omnisphere
