I don't mind not having faders on Push, although I've got the APC40. I very rarely use its faders as they're not motorised - the sudden jumps and readjustment of volume is not to my liking, I prefer the endless Push encoders.

Hmmm I really need to start finding a use for the APC40. It's just sitting there all forlorn. I'm digressing.

I find the software layout of the original APC to be really interesting.

The faders send 07 (volume) on midi ch 1-8. And the Channel Selector is Really crazy. Whichever channel it is on, the device control knobs transmit and retin position for that channel. This is in non-Live mode as a generic midi controller. I use mine with BeatMaker2 on iphone now.

As for parameter jumping. I guess it depends on how you use it. If you always use the same 8 channels and Only rely on the faders for level change (live performance situation), that's one thing. But if you have an arrangement, automation, or are switching amongst session channels, I can see it becoming a headache.

I'd be very interested to see a video of MKii and it's functionality with L9..........

So....what are the knobs at the top for? I assumed pan at first, but there's a 'Pan' button near the device section as well.

Is there a release date I missed? Definitely want this thing.

There’s 2 buttons below the pan with a bracket pointing to the knobs. I think it’s safe to say that the knobs do whichever button you press out of the 3.

Ah, got it. A User bank too, that's nice.

Does anyone know what the buttons below the clip stop buttons are for on the apc 40mk 2

They look great, but imho it's a pity that the mk2 has a 5x8 matrix and not a 8x8. But yeah I guess it's a very individual choice what you value more (space vs knobs)

hmmm... it looks like it should cost a lot less than the apc40...
but i guess they just can't do that... so they decided to sell it
for a push price...

Most interesting part for me is that 'device lock' button. I'd love to have the blue hand switched of at times.

Track Selection, I assume? Track On/Off are probably the numbered buttons.

This thing looks sick, but yeah the 5 scene limit is kind of weak.

I wonder if you can scroll through your patterns like with the launchpad using that bank selector. That would be pretty useful.
