cezik,
I am able to duplicate the TOGGLE function in M4L but I want to make sure it works exactly the way you want it too. Can you explain what you do after you record each loop? If you have time, take me through every step of the way. I'll test as much as I can before giving it to you to try out.

Ok, so it goes like this.
Let's say I want to loop a song in Live. So I play some guitar part. When I am certain of what I want to loop I press the #1 button on my foot controller which is mapped to the clip slot in Loop1 track. It starts recording. When I want to stop the recording and play what I just played on a guitar I press the #1 button again. Since I am in global toggle mode it stops recording and starts to play. Now if I want to stop the clip I press the #1 button again. If I want to play it again, I press #1 again and so on. If I don't want this loop anymore I just hit delete (there is a delete button on my foot controller mapped to Keyboard delete button). Since now it all starts from the beggining.
I can add some other instrument, for example piano (there are a lot of tracks in my project that are groupped into Instruments track. This Instruments track is set as an Input in Loops track, so I can play different instruments and they all goes to Loop tracks). So I play some part on the piano, I press #2 button which is mapped to the clip slot in Loop2 track. It starts to record, than it start to play and so on... you get the idea.
So I can have maximum of 8 loops playing together and let's say I do have it as an example. Since it is a song I am manipulating those clips. And for example I am turning off clips 2, 4 and 6 (by pressing #2, #4 and #6 buttons on my foot controller). Now the only one that plays are 1, 3, 5, 7 and 8. If I hit play button in Scene (in Master Track) it will toggle the clips, so now those which are playing are 2,4 and 6 and those which are not playing are 1, 3, 5, 7, and 8. Got it?

Ok!
This Scene toggle button is great, because sometimes some of my clips are playing Verse in the song, and some are playing Chorus. Thanks to that with this one button I can simply change those parts. But sometimes I want to play all the clips by pressing one button. For example only 1 clip is playing, let's say clip #1. The rest is recorded but stopped. Now I want to play all the clips. The only way to do this is to hit all of the 7 buttons on my foot controller. It takes a looot of time and I need to be very fast to do this (honestly there is not enough time when tempo of the song is faster than 100 bmp). So I need this one little button that will always trigger all of the clips. It doesn't matter if they are playing or not. It will always starts to play every single clip in the Slot (of course if the clip slot is empty it won't starts to record, it will just do nothing to this particular slot).
Hope you get it now!

Do you plan to have two foot switches, one to toggle all the clips on/off and another to play all? Or are you interested in making your "stop all" pedal a "play all/stop all" pedal-- very much like your other 8 pedals.
Also, will you always have at most 8 tracks to do recording and playback?

I have second floor pedal that I can use to assign another button to PLAY ALL button, so this is absolutely not a problem. I would definately like to have it split to 3 buttons: #1 Toggle all, #2 stop all, #3 play all.
Yes I think 8 is maximum. That may change in the future, but for now on it is definately 8.

Here is a device to try:
https://drive.google.com/file/d/0BzptcH ... sp=sharing
You should put one device on each and every track. Map all the PLAY buttons to the same foot pedal. When you trigger your foot pedal any clip that is not empty and not playing will play. If all clips are playing then the foot pedal won't do anything. I tested it out on an APC40 and it seems to work like I expected. Give it a try and let me know if it works the way you like. I made it 1 device = 1 track so that you could expand to more or less tracks if you want. It only works on the first clip slot for the track.
Cheers.

Wow! I made some test and it works exactly as it should! Thank you sooo much

I will try it in my big project to see if there are any issues.

Hey again!
I have a problem with this device. The mapping seems to work randomly. When I map one of my keyboard keys (or midi button) to PLAY switch, it doesn't work all the time.
Sometimes it triggers the switch, sometimes it's not... do you have the same issue?
P.S. Even clicking this PLAY button with mouse doesn't trigger it dynamically.

I'll check it out, that sounds a lot like an M4L bug. Does this typically happen after reloading a Live set or just within a set as you use it? Also, when it stops working does the correct mapping still show up in the MIDI Mappings table?

Maybe try this one:

I improved the button function a little bit-- based on a known bug issue with buttons.

Works great, thanks!
P.S. Don't know if you've seen my other thread but since you are familiar with M4L maybe you saw the device I am looking for:

Ok there are another bugs. It happen very often.
1) Triggering the PLAY button starts to record on random empty slots (instead of doing nothing to them).
2) After this sequence: Press Transport Global Stop -> Press "Stop all the clips" button to stop all the clips -> Press the foot controller button to Play All clips. Now instead of playing all the clips together, some of them (random) starts to play after one bar (so they play with 1 bar delay).

OK, I'll take a look, sorry it doesn't work perfect. I'll also think about other options if this way is too undependable.

I've simplified the device as much as I am able to do. I don't recommend using a mouse click on the button because it will give erratic results. MIDI mapping should work as expected though. Part of the problem is that one of the buttons in M4L doesn't work quite liked we'd expect and it works different whether using a mouse click or a mapped control signal. It is the live.button object-- someone may have some input if they happen to read this. Try it out, I hope it works better.

Thx, unfortunately this one doesn't work well. Midi controller doesn't work at all and mouse click works only if you hold it on the button until it triggers the clip
