fuziohm, I saw your machine's specs on another post - it's really decent. Have you sent a support request in? - there is something wrong with your Live set up or you are using it in a way it's not designed for - I have a lot of crashes when I make max patches that are really clumsily designed. I've got Live to be a stable performance and composition tool on a series of really unimpressive laptops with unremarkable soundcards, I'm not an IT genius either - it should be fine on your computer.

I could never deal with that. I'd have given up a long time ago.

Yeah, i give up to about 15 tracks almost complete with it, there are just more 2 that i want to release.

I was a cubase user, and change to ableton, in the end i see that you can do exactly everything in cubase. After three years i'm back to cubase.

I don't want a solution to this problem anymore because i now that is impossible, my projects are normal for a professional, with 120 to channels. I use 64bit e change pc two times jst for it.

If somebody will say that is a lot of channels, in cubase i can use more than 250 channels flawlesly in 64 bit.

I don't use max4live because it akes the project slow and for open ay vstplugin i have to check how much memory ableton is using.

Ableton fuck up everything on 9 and they will never make ableton 8 a good daw now.

Cheers.

I know you are pissed, but I'll bet once we sift through all the stuff we'll find a reasonable culprit. What you are going through is unreasonable for any daw (which I had with the last version of sonar, hence why I don't use it anymore)

I have been having real big trouble with Live crashing when I use Kontakt

its so frustrating, don't know whos fault it is, Ableton or NI

after a little while I get sick of it and use my other DAW (Reason)

For questions sake, are you x64 and is there a particular kontakt setup that is jamming you up?
