Belgium Algeria so far, after 15 minutes, still 0-0. Belgium has difficulties.
Yeah, saw the first half. Algeria has a
very good defence and in the beginning the offense was quite controled too. So the 1:0 is very much deserved.
That whole Belgium the dark horse of the tournament hype, was just that, empty hype.

Ok, that was the best first half of the tournament yet!
Fast paced, with great technical ability from both sides. The Brazilians are definitely more dangerous, but the Mexicans hold their own.
Still 0:0 and that's a good thing!
Looking forward to the second half

Impressed by the Mexicans! I did not have them on the radar. So they are a surprise to me. Brazil was good, but did not live up to the expectations. You can't win tournaments without scoring

From the racket of honking car horns and shouting on the streets Monday night, you'd have thought Germany have already won tournament.
It was a solid thrashing though.
As for England, at least they looked like they were trying. Last time round was just an embarrassing display of apathy.

Yeah, it's always like that...
Funnily it's mostly third generation turkish youth who love that car corso thing
Back to the scheduled program:
The Dutch won against the Aussies in a surprisingly even game. 3:2
And now the first really big sensation of the tounament is about to happen
Chile leads the almost defensless Spanish 2:0
Spain will go home without making it out of group!
The team that any football player the world over was scared shitless of for the last years is as meak as a docile little mouse...Unbelievable!!!
This is football!

The sensation is perfect: Spain goes home. The end of an era! Except for Ramos, Inesta and Torres they didn't even try anymore. No attacking the opponent when he had the ball, while the Chileans went to attack even if the player with the ball was still far away. Till the end they fought for every ball. I think they may go far. The match against the Netherlands is gonna be interesting. They could still win the group!

Oh, dear... England, you make me so miserable.
It's like "All, right; one all isn't that bad - now we just have to beat Costa Rica, and trust Italy to beat Uruguay. Now where's that Louis Sua... Bugger."
I'll have to rely on Argentina and the Netherlands now. I mean, I really want a complete outsider surprise victory for this cup, but old habits die hard.

It's OK. Now we just need Italy to beat Costa Rica
and Uruguay, whilst winning against Costa Rica ourselves. During which time we need to make up 5 goals on Costa Rica. Then we scrape through on goal difference. Or something.
That logo was just made to mock me.

Rooney was playing at the wrong position, and for some reason he wasn't sharp enough. marvelous match.
