So the 70 people who saw this post on Ableton and the 400 who saw it on KVR made a total of 1029 votes? Microsoft's counting seem to be on par with its GUI skills
Kick ass picture, Eyeknow

Let us follow flat design Microsoft. Can we?

I don't know if I'd call the latest iOS look a success... I had to set text size and boldness to 11 on my iPhone, otherwise I couldn't read a thing.

To try bold gambles is golden; some of my best results came from that. But so do some of my worst ones, so being able to honestly recognize, "well, this result sucks", is even more important. Microsoft, with all of its QC and test groups failed this with Windows 8, Apple also with iOS8, so did Wired Magazine's designer/s, et al.

The flat design in the images above look cartoonish to me. I think this is a good example of a flat design - kind of businesslike yet classy:

A new user interface usually serves to disguise the fact that the new OS does nothing substantially new for $99.
Spending $99 to become less efficient at using one's PC... hmm, that's like a tutorial in reverse. Like buying a "Become a Windows Pert" DVD.

Thanks for the heads-up. I voted with 3 votes, although I highly suspect this will be ignored and never come to fruition.

I'm the guy that posted the suggestion to that site.

For those of you that voted for this, Thanks. Last I looked at it, I think it was less than 20 votes or something. I posted the idea on their uservoice page because I'm both a Mac user and a Windows user and never really understood why audio performance lagged behind so much on Windows.

Built-IN audio. Asio devices are terrific in windows...well, unless they bork the drivers.

Had someone not posted the Volvo ads suggestion, I had in mind a "now that you rotated the Earth in wrong direction twice already, can you make it triangular too?" answer.
