sure does, and its centered under the pads, rather than centered under the unit itself. well thought out.Machinate wrote:hehe. Does it have a mic stand socket, like the AirFX? That would rule.
Trigger Finger users - tell me your thoughts
Got it today! It took about 10 minutes to get used to but finally I found something that works w/BFD! The pads are great and I haven't found much of a problem with the outside of the pads. I hooked it up with Live but I can't figure out how to assign Impulse sounds to the pads. I can assign anything else in Live to the pads, knobs, and sliders but not the Impulse "cells"...Any idea why?

according to the manual pdf you need to use preset 10 and that will give you control over 2 different impulse devices. see page 23 in the pdf manual.

Thanks! I haven't had a chance yet to install the cd that came with the unit. I assume the pdf manual is on the cd...ejectorset wrote:according to the manual pdf you need to use preset 10 and that will give you control over 2 different impulse devices. see page 23 in the pdf manual.

that manual is definately worth reading (i dont even own the triggerfinger yet)
it has lots of cool features you dont realize it has like the ability to stream midi out from the computer via usb then out the midi out connector on the back of the tf and act as a midi out interface if you dont have one and need one.

He hasn't chimed on this thread, but there is a dude who has stated that the trigger finger not having a note-repeater function like the AKAI unit is a negative. I don't necessarily see it that way, but I wanted to make you aware of his dissenting opinion.hoffman2k wrote:So nobody has anything negative to say about this unit?
It sounds like an awesome thing. But i am somehow suspicious about m-audio products, having burned my fingers (and wallet) before.
If the good reviews keep coming i might pick one up though.
I can see how people don't like the knobs and sliders...they definitely are in the same range as Fisher-Price. But the pads are great. I will use the knobs and sliders when necessary but they weren't the reason I bought the unit. I have BFD, Battery, and DFHS and I needed a good trigger pad. This thing does it well!hoffman2k wrote:So nobody has anything negative to say about this unit?

How do the pads compare in quality with the mpd16?
It looks like the same thing. Only without the crappy knobs and sliders you mentioned.
Faderfox should make this kind of unit. I have the Lx1. and the space of 4 buttons would be the perfect size for a pad. That would be 16 pads in a pretty cool box.

i know what you mean about m-audio, but this unit is legit, fa sho.hoffman2k wrote:So nobody has anything negative to say about this unit?
