Re: iPad and computer friendly sound card..
...since samplr needs some improvements (it's not really 100% audiobus compatible) i had to experiment a little bit to get it working but try this (i'm on a mac btw):
on your computer:
- "activate" studiomux by clicking it
- open your ableton live set
on your ipad:
- open audiobus (version 9.1.17 / not the latest one since it has a bug); important: just open the app, don't select input/output now!!!
- then open the studiomux app
- within studiomux click on "open audiobus" (on the right panel / second or third button i'm not sure) and choose "take me there"
- then first select samplr as the output and activate (by clicking) it and after that audiomux as the input and also activate it
- after that you should see a "samplr" icon on studiomux' track 8
- click the "+" sign under the samplr icon and choose samplr again
on your computer:
- drag the "audiomux effect" on a track
- select your ipad as the device and samplr as the input and also as the output
have fun!

I've been thinking about it. Legit?
Re: iPad and computer friendly sound card..
I've heard it's having some issues under El Capitan from some people, anyone had any experience with that?

Re: iPad and computer friendly sound card..
...first i would try it with the new version of audiobus (there is also a new server for studiomux!)...maybe it works for you...if not you may have a copy of the old version in one of your backups (e.g. timemachine when you are on a mac)...you can find the file under itunes-media-apps (or something like this)...just remove the new version and put the old one into that folder, erase the old version on your ipad and then sync your ipad...then the old version should be installed...

Focusrite Scarlette, although it is an entire interface.
