If you're a Windows user you'll need to download the karma~ external and add it to your max search path.

Karma~ is simply the external I used to implement the looping/copping/overdubbing in more recent versions. Push_Chop v1.1 is the version of the device that uses the external.

Using Mac. I downloaded the files but they are not accepted in Live (latest version).
Is there something obvious I'm missing (I am a bit of a noob with Max and Push)?

They are not accepted? What does that mean? What prompt do you get?
What files did you download exactly?
The .amxd files can simply be dragged into Live.

no prompt. Just circle with line through it whether I drag to midi or audio channel.

I think the js files QuantizeTranslate and message_initialize are missing - not bundled with the device and max is deleting patchcords so the device doesn't work.
Could be wrong though!
Also @old school user are you trying to drag both files in together? If so, you need to do it one by one.

It seems I uploaded a non-frozen version of the brain at some point. It's fixed now (please let me know if it isn't).
As for not being able to drag it into Live, that's weird, and shouldn't be happening. Unfortunately I have no good advice other than to double click the .amxd files, and then save them to your user library.

downloaded again. Same behavior. Can't drag to channel (one at a time). And the files won't load into Max.

works for me. 10.9.5, latest Live (until tomorrow), latest Max 7.

Did you try to just double click the files and open them from your file browser?
The files won't load into max because they aren't max files. As gavspav said, they should be working fine on all systems. Unfortunately this isn't a bug with my devices, something weird is going on with your system if you can't drag the .amxd files onto a channel.
