i work in IT. there's a saying about new Windows OS releases... "always wait until the first service pack is released."

don't get me wrong, i've applied for the upgrade on my laptop and i tried the demo (at work) and liked it a lot. still, weird little nuances like that can almost be expected at this point. i keep my DAW computer a few revs back, always. i have yet to find anything that requires me to have the absolute cutting edge OS to work properly, but rather the opposite. not to diminish or marginalize your pain, but you're kinda in a testing phase with that OS.

I know, I know... and thanks.

Still, the OP is reporting mouse problems in Win7, 8 and 10. Also, there's a troubleshooting topic on this exact problem for Win 8. https://www.ableton.com/en/help/article ... ouse-zoom/
The two solutions listed there either don't apply or don't work.

I'm still hoping for an updated workaround from Ableton. In the meantime, for the things I do there's always Reaper.

right on.

i hope you both get it sorted.

i'm still a little baffled that the OP would see the font as too small across multiple OSs and view this as an Ableton glitch. not trying to be mean, but it sounds like it's more of a physical condition than a software issue. or... the screen resolution needs to be changed in Windows to something more ergonomically acceptable and/or the monitor itself should be upgraded to a larger model.

I had this problem too and I think I got a firm solution.

Firstly yes, display scaling to 100% and 125% will fix it but that scaling will affect all apps and also the OS desktop and such making them hard to read or use.

Find the Ableton 'Live' exe, right click, choose 'properties' and under 'compatibility' check 'disable display scaling'.

Now the rest of Windows 10 can remain readable but the Ableton faders and rotaries will function as they should.

Thank you u/at_onement!

You can try lowering your monitor resolution
