If Logic wasn't just Apple from now on, i would ditch my G4 big time

Not being a Mac user, I wonder if the performance tests are indicative of Mac performance overall, or just regarding Live?

I am going to go out on a limb here and say its a combonation of them BOTH.. 70/30 sort of thing were the fact it is not a pc (i.e. fast mhz) is 70% the cous of the performace weekness in live on macs... I work with a lot of macs and one pc and a lot of software be it audio or video.. and its just a vibe i get working with live but if Live was optimized for the mac, i think we would see a 15-25% increase in overall performence.

further more.. i just did some testing on my
733mkz PC
VS
667mkz Mac
now there is not much of a mkz difference and this is what test 4 shows
Make of computer: TiBook 667, 768 RAM
Operating system: OS9.2
CPU Speed: 667
Soundcard: Built in (256)
test 4: peaked at 36%
Make of computer: Custom built PC
Operating system: XP
CPU Speed: 733
Soundcard: Audiophile 2496 (256)
test 4: peaked at 25%
:::::::;
that is more then a 30% difference with just 66mkz, something is not right here.

continuing from my last post..that is to say live on the pc is 30% more powerful regardless of mkz speed.
now with some simular testing on a groove i composed in live with 8 audio tracks (no inserts or send fx used- just audio)
PC --733mkz--13% (HD speed 5400)
Mac -667mkz--25% (HD speed 4200 i think)
so i ask, Can live on the mac be twaked just a bit by ableton to give us mac users a bit more performence..? its bad enough as it is at with the mkz gap and all, but even without the mkz gap it seems like there is room for improvment on the mac.

Make of computer: Apple G3 Powerbook
Operating System: 9.1
CPU Speed: 333 Mhz
Soundcard: builtin
whe the demo arrangement is first opened: 8%
when paused during playback: 21%
playing at around bar 42: 52%
I knew performance of Live on macs was not on par with pc's
but I am bummed to see that the newer macs don't fair so
much better then my Lombard powerbook during playback.
