so.
-edit your guide track's transients and consolidate the clips. same length ofc.
-go in manage sample files and hotswap the Guide with the"Slave"
-now even its name should be changed to the slave one.

NOW THE SIMPLE MAGIC

-hit SAVE on the edit save rev. section
-and finally revert to few steps back, so you have your old sample name and old sample content with the original markers/transients.
erase the slave one, and put it back from the sample browser.[/list]

no struggle no edit nothing bad happening.
(just don't hit save in the meanwhile )

omigosh, that means I can't warp the Left channel and Right channel without repeating a lot of manual work?

Surely there's a way. I have stereo inputs, 2 channels, and I just warped one perfectly.

Do I really have to re-do that work for the other stereo channel?

Is there a recording option I could have used to avoid this, like recording stereo to just one Ableton Live audio track?

I answered my own question: Yes, I could have enabled stereo recording into one track. Next time, I'll (try to remember to) do it that way. I must have had a reason for separating tracks, but I guess I forgot that was an option rather than a necessity.

So... still no way to copy the warping work I did on Left channel to the Right, as of Ableton Live 10 Suite? Probably not.

Muchos thankos! That's a relief to know.

It's way easier since L11: you simply link the tracks (linking tracks is only available in Arrangement view) before doing your warp job on any of the linked tracks.

Another hack - you can export mix both tracks 1 and 2 to new 2x mono track. Track 1 L+R becomes L in new track, track 2 L+R becomes R in new track. You have Utility/Mono effect for this. Load the new stereo wave and run warp on it. Stereo channels always go together, so aligning tempo to trasients from L channel will align R channel the the same way.

After that you need to mix R channel alone to L+R (also Utility/Mono effect).

If you want to keep stereo track you need to do this twice, processing L and R separately, not mono mix.

It's a bit hard, but the result is perfect aligned.
