what MFL Sequencer are you talking about?
Step Sequencer of M4L Big Three, which seems to be a precursor to MonoSequencer. I didn't notice any issues in Live 9.6.1.

Skimmed through this, but why not just disengage that step on the sequencer? No Velocity.

To me it feels counterintuitive to delete the steps below and then work on velocity for the remaining steps.
I'd rather do everything in one action not two. From my experience with Kontakt and Reaktor this velocity
style sequencer really gives great and fast results.

Also that step bar is a bit too thin and small.
