Another more immediate solution is to get the 30-day Suite demo on another account and open all the sets and remove Amp and what not yourself. Probably what I would have done. I just did that to be able to try out macOS Sierra on another disk without having to waste an installation on just trying it out.

I would think that ableton saves your hardware id as of having tested the full thing. but dont know fo sho.

That's not my experience. But I used a new external disk which means a new hardware ID. Unfortunately it's sometimes not very obvious when you're using up what license.
