Be wise, and order one from Ableton HQ!!! Don't risk your Push gets roasted!!!!!
Likely that supply was the wrong polarity. I actually looked and could not see the polarity noted on the manufacturer's website, which is not a good sign. Always ensure that if your device needs center positive, like the Push, then you only power it with a center positive supply. It's printed right where you would plug the power supply in.
It sure would be nice if Ableton would sell these directly on the website, without having to contact their support team and wait for a response in order to get one. Doubly-so since there's literally nowhere else online that you can get a manufacturer-authorized adapter for this instrument.
