Re: Why Am I Getting Clipping?
Its very easy to solve: Just try use WAV or Aiff files.
Its caused by distorcions (can be plus 1, 2, 3, sometimes till 6 dBs) in the conversion from the Wav or Aiff to MP3.
Simple.
You can use just full quality wave, or if u use low qualty wave (acc, mp3, etc) push down the volume of the channel.

Your explination makes zero sense and also, the thread is 3 years out of date so that makes little sense to revive a dead horse either.

Re: Why Am I Getting Clipping?
I read most of the replies and seems no one is actually understanding what you're saying. Or if they do they are not giving you a solution. I noticed this recently too because I was making an edit to a song for a set and the audio file was normalized but I was still getting clipping! It was getting me so madSyncretia wrote: ↑Tue Mar 28, 2017 11:47 amI'm sure this question has been asked a million times, and I feel stupid asking it, but I've got unexplained clipping.
And yet, the limiter on my master channel is working. I can hear it limiting and see it chopping off some sounds.
- I am in Session mode
I am playing mastered wav files
The clips are set to Complex Pro
Each clip is set to a volume of 0db
My channels are set to 0db
I have no sends turned on
My master is at 0db
Why?
Repitch mode is def not an option for a modern set since you want to keep songs in the same key and still be able to change tempo. Beats mode is prob the only option if you want to keep songs in the same key without having the volume increase but obviously beats mode doesnt always sound the best in certain situations.
My quick fix solution if I need to use the other warp modes has been to just throw a saturator on the track and turn on soft clipping. Obviously don't drive the signal, just use the soft clipping to get the headroom back. It might change the sound a bit to the most trained ear but Im listening on laptop speakers as im writing this so I cant really tell.
Hope this helps
PS: just realized im like 10 years late to this thread haha. Welp hope this helps future readers
