Yes, 9.7.2 took out my entire Arturia V Collection 5 database after rescanning the VST catalog. Had to reinstall all the Arturia software but seems OK now.

I had several crashes last night trying to load a song, got a dialogue box that said it was related to a plugin that would be deactivated.

OK. Now Live 9.7.2 wouldn't even finish the start up or show itself. Then Live 9.7.2b4 — still in Trash so just moved it back — did start up, but with some difficulty. Then again 9.7.2 wouldn't at all.
Then I restarted the OS and and 9.7.2 starts again without any issues. What the …?
If 9.7.2b4 was the release candidate how is the actual release acting up in this fashion?

Makes no sense but uninstall and re-instaling my fxpansion vsts's seems to have fixed it, including the arturia crashes!

Mine's crashing constantly, all over the shop.
I spent several hours slicing video to music in Ableton.
If Ableton think I'm going to spend several hours deleting and re-installing every pack I've ever bought, I'll just buy someone else's software instead.
I'm an adult. Adults don't have time to do things like this. If you want to sell software to adults, then make it work.

May I suggest that "adults" may be professionals that know how to deal with stuff like this? I'm not dismissing your problem here, far from it, but your way of dealing with it is not what I associate with actually resolving the issues you say you have. Maybe this isn't the objective?
There's no such thing as bug free platform and software interaction can be very complex. Accepting these simple observations are likely required steps to get anywhere.
We all know how frustrating issues with your music software can be, so I'm sure all of us understand how you feel and are willing to share experiences and hopefully solutions as well, if we know of any.
