maybe if wed just ignore them, theyd stop doing what they do.
Yes, true..this is why they choose popular places..that cause headlines..
Hard to ignore when hundreds of innocent people --100's to 1000's get killed..
However, what is the difference when 100's and thousands of innocent civilians get killed everyday in Iraq..??
It is almost like the rest of the World thinks that those people (Iraq's etc..)are on same level of respect and life , as cattle and livestock..
It is absolutely sick.
If Bush and governments cared about these people , they would be more tactful and careful. Everyday there is a headline about how many get killed..
This crap would never of started if Bush maybe did not think about his needs and
oil investments.. I mean all this time and Bin Ladin is still in action?? What the F_uK!!
I sometimes wonder if the governments have purposely conditioned our minds to lose our love and soul for one another as humans.
I will not let them change me.

us helping?they were better off when saddam was in power.
No shit...I mean 99% of their population would vote for him in elections when he was in power.

Right....how many Kurds did he gas and kill? They love Saddam for that.

At least now the people of Iraq are dieing for their freedom.
Debatable

Agreed. You know, I was almost willing to accept the gratiutious lies made by our politicians when I saw sadaam's statue fall. [/quote]

You do know that incident was staged by the coalition don't you? The massive crowd was actually about 250 and some clever camera work. The US provided the machinery.

This is a music forum, why do we need this kind of OT topics...If it's OT, it's OT.

I could spend hours debating on this and why your list is ridiculous because it assumes terror is only terror when it hits a western country, not when a bomb hits a home in whatever "third country"...esp if it's a forgotten one, like some african or far east country.

Useless.
Turn up the radio. Turn up the tape machine. Look into the sunset up ahead. Roll the windows down for a better taste of the cool desert wind. Ah yes. This is what it's all about. Total control now.

Just ignore the OTs and don't read them if it causes you such stress.
Maybe you need to relax a bit Mr Meldrew.

Labelling every thorn in the side of G8 mega-economies a "terrorist" is one step away from calling the world good & evil;.

A Person who plants bombs on tube trains or crashes a plane into a building is a plain old fashioned madman in my eyes.

They dont even really represent the views of most fundamentalist religeon, just the ultra-fundamentalist crazies that are actually just mad people looking for a reason to go bang

'cos blowing people up isn't really convincing anyone of anything is it?

At one point in their lives these "terrorists" were young kids, same as any other. Something changed their lives and they now passionately believe they are fighting a good cause for logical reasons. I don't think it is clinical madness.
Until we control the forces in their environment that drive them to these drastic actions, things will only get worse.

Occupying their sacred lands, ripping off their resources, arbitratily deciding on borders and killing hundreds of thousands of them from fancy jetplanes loaded with bombs and depleted uranium *might* not be working.
Sounds eerily like the sustained massacre of the American indian.

Yeah, you maybe right, nevertheless this post is useless. :D

C'mon guys, there are lots of forums out there were people is more than willing to discuss politics and international affairs...My point is that we should focus on music, and try to keep the forum clean from political views.

My opinion, of course.

I think it is.

A lot of the people who went to fight for the mujahadeen in Afghanistan (with the CIA) came from wealthy backgrounds. That's why there are so many that are under suspicion here in the UK , they went to Pakistan / Afghanistan to follow an extreme ideology. These people are generally unstable to begin with and latch onto a valid greivance and take it to extremes.

Proof?

All people in Palestine have the same valid greivance and grow up in a pretty terrible environment . If mental instability is not the prime cause in going from protesting, petitioning or legitimate fighting ... to blowing innocent people up, why aren't ALL palestinians blowing people up? They all have the same overall greivances.

I think it's because they generally have the mental fortitute to endure the situation without senseless violence, whereas mentally unstable people snap and do something bizzare and counterproductive.

ergo : primary cause - mental instability (schizoid paranoia)
: primary justification - any available

that doesn't make the Muslim underlying argument of "western christian crusading" invalid, but the madmen aren't actually helping their purported cause in any way by their actions. Something a sane person can see easilly.

How many Muslims support the 'terrorists' cause more today than 2 weeks ago? ... I would guess many less.

The difference is that the Iraqis are dieing fighting for their freedom, and are trying to rid their country of the "so called terrorists".

Another difference is that the terrorists are the ones that are out to kill the innocent civilians, and Iraqis. The U.S. troops are there to help them rid the country of the terrorists.

It blows my mind that some of you think that Iraq and the world would be better off if the U.S. just picked up and left Iraq today.

The question you need to ask is who has the list and why?
