Just to let you know that Timbresandtones is no scam. He recently updated the whole V collection racks for live 10. I had an issue because of that but now it's fine.
Push Vst Preset Racks
Re: Push Vst Preset Racks
OK guys I've never posted in here, but I came across this and felt I needed to share on Ableton Racks VST integration.
Firstly, I need to *FACT CHECK* Lovelight above. Posting mistruths as requotes/retweets does NOT make you NOT accountable for what you requote - and looks like a dirty tactic to requote a deleted comment. I guess that’s a sign of how our society has become - I just thought our music and Ableton community was better than that. In the interests of fairness I have to say I don’t have any of Lovelight's racks so I can't and won't comment on them and I value any contributions people make to our community.
Now, to set the record straight on the *FACT CHECK*
I use timbresandtones as my go to site for VST integration racks. I have quite a few racks from them. Superior Drummer 3, Komplete 12 and quite a few synths including V Collection. Anyone can see it’s a full on site, instant downloads, loyalty points, constant updates and free stuff. A number of their racks go to a whole new level - look at what they’ve done with drum racks for EZD2, SD3, Native Instruments for example. So I'm not happy to see a major community contributor to be falsely smeared by someone to suit their own self-promotion.
I'll let you know my own personal experience with purchasing their V Collection racks. I recently bought V Collection 7 in the sale. Purchased and downloaded the racks from timbresandtones. I couldn’t get them to work initially either. After a few exchanges with timbresandtones support email, they worked out it was cos I had only installed VST3 versions of the VSTs. Their racks had been built to VST2. Seems obvious to me now but I hadn't made the connection to this. It’s a different dll. They also offered me a refund if I wanted but I installed the VST2 VSTs instead and their racks worked absolutely fine - nice mappings too - including native Ableton macros (addressing another point made above in the thread). They also updated their website to make clear whether it was VST2 and VST3 as a result.
To top it all, a few weeks later they've sent me a product update email - telling me I can log into my account and download VST3 versions (free update) of the V Collection 7 racks and both VST2 and VST3 are available to me. Brilliant stuff. So I hope this sets the record straight for everyone else out there. Ignore Lovelight's unethical tricks and by all means check out timbresandtones awesome site.
To summarise:-
1. Putting it out there for timbresandtones as a great site, products, updates and support and what they bring to the community
2. Hopefully by sharing my experience I'm raising the awareness of VST3 compatibility and Ableton racks. If anyone is having issues with VST racks loading, and you are using VST3 - check you have got the right version of VST the racks are loaded against - you'll need to check with who supplied them - and also if VST3 is turned on in Ableton. So be careful when you buy VST racks whether they are VST2 or VST3 - and as VST3 is the future I'd recommend making sure your racks are VST3 compatible versions where required. And when installing - if you have the disk space install both VST2 and VST3 versions to give you the best flexibility!
Hope that's cleared this up and helps with VST3 questions. Love and peace everyone. KatyCat

Re: Push Vst Preset Racks
I haven't got a clue what's going on here!
KatyCat Your "fact check" is evil and a lie ! its unbelievable anyone would be such an ass in a midi controller forum... really incredible, but says a lot about the times we are living in...
What mistruth, dirty tactic and un ethical things have I done Katycat ?
By the way! Ive started this thread because I want people to know about my work, and then someone was telling about racks he bought was a scam, my answer was: My racks are NOT a scam! Thats it. I was reacting to a post in a thread I started and quoted this, nothing else.
So who is using dirty tactic when literally telling people to go somewhere else and get their vst racks in a thread I've started about my work?
Second im not doing any big business, its pennys I earn from my work and all money I get in from this, every penny is taken away from me by the State since im un-employed and on benefits after an work accident. im doing this because I make music with push and want to share this, and my work need to have a value on it, since im spending so many hours doing the racks, I don't do scripts its all one by one writing every preset!
I have no interest in what you are accusing me for, and im pretty sick of hearing this BS, since it would be a lot easier for me not doing this, because of stupid paperwork I need to fill out every month to the Social telling them I earned 35 euro this month, so they can withdraw 35 euro from my benefits! Yes every penny is taken from my benefits, believe it or not.
This is really hopeless and quite out of order accusations.
Also I've got more than 7300 members in my FB group and I've done this for 5 years now, and this is the first time I ever heard anything like this bs before. Im really trying my best to be as kind and helpfull I can and I believe I've succeeded in that, so to hear this is a bit of a shock to be honest...
FACT: I haven't said one single negativ word about anyone else doing the same work as I do! I quoted a post in a thread I started, without saying the person was right or wrong, I was ONLY telling about MY work.
Last, I know my work is good, and im very proud of it! It Make my work with Push, Live and my favourite Soft Synth very easy and enjoyable, so I shouldn't react to this crap, but sometimes you need to stand up and tell the truth when people are upright lying and evil.
REAL, Peace and Love
PS. I been making electronic music for 35 years, and I've spent the last 5 years working with Push, I love Push as my work horse in Live, especially using Vst,s together with this fine and great controller from Ableton. My work with the racks is no business for me and was never meant to be it, its more about working with my favourite vst in as much easy way as possible on Push, nothing more or less, and why not share it!
