mosca- As I said I was just curious- not trying to bite it or anything- I just dont have much experience using plug-ins and was wondering what people were using and why.

cheers:)

I'll take this opportunity to blow my own horn , look away children!

I have found that the plugins I use most are the ones I made myself - probably because they are built to fit what I need to do (most often), I know what they do and can change them if needed.

Recently I have made a few tracks with just my AngstroLooper over some of my bad bass playing (and a few beats).
EG: last night I wanted an old soul style clap along - where all the claps are different, you know - like James Brown invited all his mates into the studio to clap badly!
using a mike into AngstroLooper set on 4 bars I just clapped as I wandered around my studio with headphones (listening to the track). Instant soul gang clap track! A lot quicker than editing the pitching & filtering on a pair of claps off a sample CD to make variations.

I have made loads of other plugs for myself - but that one gets used lots, despite being so simple.

Angstrom> I also use your plugin a lot, in fact all my recent tracks are made with it. I'm in love with it I think.... I'd like to thank you for the good work, really because it became essential in my set up....

Filterscape- synth, filter and EQ plug ins.

Reactor 5- total swiss army knife plug in.

Absynth 3 - nothing else sounds like it.

Automat= free mac plug in, almost zero cpu use..

PSP Vintage Warmer

FM7- FM synth with builtt in FX, light on the cpu

PPG Wave- nice cold old school synth sounds

Kontact 2 - hard core sampler

Battery 2- drum mangler

If I didn't have a moog, I would definitely have the Moog Modular. and I want one of the Arp 2600 emulations that came out...
