thanks for the response krank, but if you do a search on my post you'll see
i'm not an ableton fanboy just hanging around message boards to chat, as a matter of fact I believe that outside of asking for direct help from the user base chatting with you is the first that i've done so.
i paid for Live as well, and want my moneys worth which I got when i paid for it., what i'm saying is that ableton probably wishes that people requesting features acted as mature as you'd wish they'd act proffessional.
there is nothing wrong with courtesy and you never paid for the features that don't currently exist in the product. besides that most of the features that they've taken out that have turned out to be a mistake they've put back, like inputs in the arrangement view, and it's obvious that theres enough support for them to augment the transport situation...end of intimate warm fuzzy rant.

I'm sorry, I didn't mean to put you down or get personal. It's just one of the issues I feel strongly about, having spent way too much time reading various company forums because of technical issues. I hear what you're saying, manners are important. Best regards.

bump!
i can freakin believe that in arrangement view with loop activated, pressing the spacebar doesn't start play at the lefthand loop marker.
retarded.
there's all these great commands for moving the loop markers around and no way of using the keyboard to start play at the beginning of the loop? what?
come on.

oh, leave it to me to get all exasperated 2 minutes before finding the solution..
apple-shift-L selects the loop area, which moves the arrangment start marker to the left side of the loop.
still could use some slightly better arrangement keyboard shortcuts
