Are clips clones?

...I would love to see linked/ghost clips as it would make managing things like drum tracks much easier. It is possible to work around this like it’s possible to work around the lack of vocal comping but it would be welcome.

Ha, No. That doesn't address the issue, just allows MIDI to xmit to multiple channels, not the same thing.

Aha got you, I hadn't fully grasped it yet, so that's helpful.

My "solution" to this is just a simple workaround using clip names and colours. I just get into the habbiot of colour coding everything in my timeline so if I duplicate a clip and want it to maintain the same exact structure as the original, I keep it at the same colour. If I want to change a part and add, for instance, a small fill or bridge or something I immediately change the colour and I have my own colours for different types of events (such as sweep ins/outs, fills, bridges etc)

In live 10 it should be possible to select multiple clips at once and edit them in one go. Haven't tried it (no need) .

And for audio clips you can edit the audio file destructively in an external audio editor and it would be used by all clips that reference that file. Associate your favorite editor in the preferences and you can use the edit button in the clip to open it in your audio editor

This was one of the things actually I had managed to suss out somehow, that being said it's not quite what I needed but thanks anyway.

Hardly a thing, and hardly a deal breaker as you put it, the majority happy with the way it is.

As said elsewhere whilst we can accept it may not be a thing for you, that's fine, but your assertion that it's 'hardly a thing' is obviously wrong, as it clearly overlooks the voices and stated wishes of other experienced Live users who have asked for this feature. May ignore your last part of your message.
