General and/or Bugs and Problems...
I'm not adressing a bug issue (yet). I am adressing the difference in performance between a PC and a Mac. I was also commenting on some possible internal problems that may be creating the problems (that is personel managment). There are problems with the PC and I am trying to get to the bottom of those problems. I belive there may be some other issue going on here. I don't care for the Mac user pompus-ness.
If a PC user knew that their mother board was not happy with Live 5, this would be a good to know. Trouble shooting a motherboard incompatability issue is a seperate issue from a bug. If on 80% of the system configurations the version 5 works ok, and on the last 20% of the systems the software has problems, I want to know what last 20% of the systems are having problems, and why.
If steps 1,2, 3 = crash with a PC and the same steps 1,2, 3 = no crash with a Mac I want to know the mother board (most important thing to consider here). I would want to make a post and have a seperate user with the same motherboard go through those same steps. This would indicate that the problem IS the motherboard and not the virus issue (something completely irrelivent in trouble shooting) I just gave an example of how you can trouble shoot around that issue, something the mac users didn't seem to have the know how to get around. Sure, If I don't have the tallent I can spend all my savings on a mac and let the software and my arrogance make me more successful than the PC user.
My innitial post on "I Think I Know Why Live 5 Is Having so Many Problems." Was a stepping outside of the box, a brainstormming for ideas that may reveal a possible place to look for root causes of system crashes.
The difference between PC and Mac systems was a more narrowing of the field.
Great deal of negativity and inapropriate comments were ignored in order to arive at this usefull test, don't anyone forget that or the fact that Mac users tend to be pompus. There was no one there to inform me that I was purchasing the wrong computer when I bought my machine. I've spent a great deal of time getting this thing to function and for some pompus mac user to make the comments that they make only reveals their arrogance. There are PC users who claim that Live 5 is ok on their system. I am beginning to think that a great deal of the mac stuff is all hype. Allways shrouded in demeanning comments. You bought your mac because others told you to, that's not a sign of intelligence on your part. My software is PC based and it would be a huge expense to swap out everything to 'upgrade' to a mac.

Sorry man,
I am a mac user, but I don't necessarily think macs are better than windows machines. I was only being pompous to try to live up to an earlier thread titled "Why are mac users such c**ts?".

It's true ! Search for it!
PS First sentence, second clause - that's a lie.

NO !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My aren't the wings of butterflies beautiful and do they not make wonderful perturbations.....

MAybe it's the weather, but everyone is really fucking ON tonight!AdamJay wrote:i agree whole-heartedlyMyth Healer wrote: We cannot speculate here, we must test the systems with similar clicks with the mouse. Loading up clips a certain way that gets things to crash in the PC and not the Mac. This is the type of test I would like to see conducted.
and you need to make sure that these systems are infected with the same viruses and spyware as well.
gotta be thorough with test beds.

Exactly! I have never, ever, really been hit with anything in my 12 years of owning PCs. And I've been actively connected to the internet since 1995.milfbait wrote:Only retards get viruses and spyware on a pc. With a little bit of education, 99.9% of viruses and spyware are avoided.
OK... I had one virus a few months ago. But went back to my latest Ghost, and was up and running in a few hours.
You have to know what you're doing. Then a PC with XP is not bad. Not bad at all!
Cheers,
Mikael

Again - check AdamJay's performance thread. You'd be glad to know that PCs do well in that test.I am adressing the difference in performance between a PC and a Mac.
If you would have hung around this forum for a while, getting to know the atmosphere, before posting your revolutionary thoughts - you'd understand that most of the pompousness of the Mac owners is quite sarcastic. But that must have went flying right above your head.I don't care for the Mac user pompus-ness.
Baaahh, humbug! Four years ago when I was to build my first DAW, there was plenty of information concerning stable and not so stable hardware configs. Now there's probably even more. Do you know Google? There was no one there to inform me that I was purchasing the wrong computer when I bought my machine.
Now, please chill. If you'd like to continue this quest of yours. Be concrete and focus on one post in the appropriate forum.
