Surprised this wasn't flagged in the 3-month long 11.1.5 beta. Did a macOS update come along and break it recently?
I had a mac security update last week but i'm still on older macOS and i'm unaffected by this issue, but it looks like the security updates and the 11.1.5 update were released pretty much the same day (17th May). Dunno, prob just a coincidence.

Someone mentioned Big Sur and someone else Monterey; is there anyone else using another OS?

Just to let you all know, these issues are still present in the latest Beta update - 11.2b3

Not too surprising as the issues were not mentioned in the release notes bug fixes and might not have been looked at yet.

I loaded up the default Live template, loaded an instance of Reverb onto a Midi track, and attempted to change global quality - crash.
I opened up Live again and loaded an EQ Eight and attempted to change Filter 1's Filter Mode - crash.
Again, all drop-down menu based actions.

switching to the Intel-only version instead of the Universal one "fixed it" for me

Interesting...this is one of the first things I tried but it made no difference for me. Glad to hear things are working for you!

Tim at Ableton Support emailed me asking if I had the Grammarly app installed, which I do.

Turned Grammarly off and now Live is working perfectly!

might get really brave and uninstall it completely!

Same thing is happening to me for a week!

Whenever i try to change the curve in EQ Eight it freezes/starts hanging

Hey folks, the issue has been identified, fix will be coming soon in an update. Thanks for all the bug reports that helped narrow this one down!

Was it the Grammarly app? I'm playing a show tomorrow and I'm freaking out about this happening on stage.

Has the fix been applied? I'm still seeing loads of random beachballs on mac when browsing instruments. I don't have Grammarly
