That mouse actually works like anyone new to a mac would expect it works.
I remember squeezing the hell out of that one-button mouse. In search for the second button and a wheel of some sorts

personally, i won't be buying the 2 button mouse. i have a keyboard full of buttons in my left hand and really don't need another. i guess it's nice to have it if you feel you need it but i can't see it making any difference accept for the laziness factor.

I just bought a Logitech LASER mouse! It is the king of mice! ;)

Better be for the 90 bucks I paid for it!

I love how being productive and efficient can so easily be reduced to laziness! That's like saying "key commands in live is lazy - the mouse works just fine"

i'd love a decent trackball....nevermind a bluetooth one. you'd think they'd be easy to come by but they seem to be very unpopular.

Yeah, I was just searching for one of these last night and couldn't fine ONE. There is a soon to be released on coming soon, but that's it.

A trackball for live performance that was bluetooth wireless enabled would be awesome.

Kabuki - take a deep breath. No need to hate the player. Hate the game.

Can't hate the game if you can't PLAY it... you need a TWO BUTTON FRIGGIN MOUSE to play (alt fire).

I REALLY HATE STEVE JOBS STILL (but I love my Mac)
15" PB 2.5 Ghz, 4 Gig RAM, 750 GB HD, Live 9 still no cue points or program change messages?!?. Doesn't do shit.

mmmm... could you use the wee ball thingy to control the wee circle in the graph screen of Auto Filter, for instance? I'd like that. Except I'm trying not to use a traditional mouse as I got myself a tasty right-arm RSI over the last 17 years...

I know the feeling, I'm getting one on my right wrist too.

I use macs at work and have actually got really used to those little circular mice. everybody else hates them, but I actually find them really easy to draw with. It's surprising how possible it is to get used to lots of different hardware, it's a bit like driving lots of different cars, weird as hell at first, then you don't notice any more.

I don't care what it is as long as it does the job i want it to do, and that I dont have to wait too long for it to finish.

One button, two, three, trackball, thet're all giving me RSI, i wish somebody would invent something new.

I hate Mac mouses with a vengeance too. Not just the lack of a second button, scroll wheel etc, but also the general "springiness" in it. I don't want to click the whole goddamn mouse! Gimme a button to press!

I've used Macs at work for a loong time and always asked the IT department for a replacement mouse as soon as I got a new machine.

f-ck two buttons, my mouse has six plus side-to-side scroll. May be overboard for others, but it is super-handy for graphics and CAD applications. I have one button that acts as the delete key, another thumb button for "enter" (totally crucial in all apps.), another for "ctrl". These three come in handy in most all apps, including Live. The ctrl mouse button gets me close to Live 3 style scrubbing using Live 4 (at least I only have to use one hand).
