come on Abes ... i think the least we deserve is some sort of explanation. This is the number one creativity killer for me. Was driving me mad last night.

Yep I have the same problem. I thought it was just me. But no. Of course it is because Live 5 is a big heaping piece of garbage. It's like the problems don't diminish. They just get more creative, more persistent, more annoying, and to some extent more destructive.

All those 5.0.2 "fixes" are BS. They don't solve any real problems people are having.

no sorry, you're wrong about this being a Live 5 issue...this was slow in Live 3 and 4 as well.

agreed. working in the arrangement-view is a pain. unusable.

Well as a Sonar user that was attracted to Live because of it's great workflow, this issue along with the high CPU useage is suggesting to me that maybe I should go back for a while (beacuse I found the Sonar issues were workflow ones as opposed to show stoppers like these)

Cheers Jed

Showstopper - yes. I can just about handle it on my own, but when I tried working with a mate on a track (who is a cubase user), doing some tight arrangement, we had to give up in the end ... was taking so long!! I was embarrased after talking about how good Live is.

Yep me too - I spent an afternooon re-arranging a few bits of a track and if i dropped it in the wrong place and had to do it again (aaaarrgghhh) i was getting so frustrated. Yeh the tracks on 70/80% like but even so....

I don't know which is worse - the slow scrolling when dragging a clip or waiting for it to drop when you get there... :(

it's kinda weird because for instance when you cut time, it goes really fast, and yet all tracks are moved.
Cut/paste works fast too, so what's the deal ?

Cut and paste doesn't work fast for me!
