Faderfox EC4 - AOK!
Wait, you got it working in Standalone? Mine only works if I manually map it in Live and transfer the set to Standalone.
The Faderfox device templates need to be added to the Live application folders so I didn’t think it was possible to use the EC4 natively without going through the unlock process

This is exactly my experience as well, I also tried uploading the faderfox scripts to various places in P3S, but no luck so far

Can you use more than one additional control surface with push 3?

I can confirm that AKAI MIDImix works out of the box with no additional work needed for basic functionality.
Also, for those who don't know, attaching a USB HUB allows for a whole swath of devices recognized by the P3SA:
I've been using this one successfully: UGREEN USB Hub 3.0 Powered, 7 Ports
https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B09DCK ... UTF8&psc=1
Attached devices:
Cable Matters 4-in-1 USB Hub with Ethernet (to bypass WiFi)
https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B073X6 ... UTF8&psc=1
iConnectivity Mio10 (yes the old one)
https://www.iconnectivity.com/products/midi/mio10
AKAI MIDImix
Launchpad Mini MK3
*Sadly, last I checked a few months ago, these did not work without additional configuration (that I've not been able to configure):
FaderFox EC4
KORG nanoKONTROL2 (my current favorite -why not?)
KORG nanoKEY2 (it does work routed through the USB IN of the Mio10)
AKAI LPD8 . . uhm, not sure. It was recognized but I think needed additional configuration.
Will test again with incoming firmware updates.

Does anyone know if something like the "Behringer X-Touch Compact Universal Control Surface" would work with the P3S?
If so, how to configure? Would I set it up with software version, and then save the file to the P3?

It won’t work, uses Mackie control that has to be setup in preferences, which we don’t have access to on P3S.
Tested on Behringer X Touch mini

I am just getting started using external controllers with my Push 3 Standalone, and I was delighted to see that my Launch Control XL mk2 was automatically recognized and working as a control surface on Push Standalone on version 12.1b9.
However, after I updated to 12.1b10, the Push now crashes/restarts immediately upon connecting the LCXL2. And after it reboots, the LC no longer loads in control surface mode.
I submitted a bug report, but curious if anyone else is experiencing this?

Definitely am experiencing something similar.
My APC40 MK2 doesn't work with Push 3S 2.1b10.

A few months ago, the P3SA stopped recognizing my AKAI MIDImix and Novation Launchpad MINI MK3. I brought this to their attention and it was fixed about 2 versions later. (I'm currently not on the Beta version.)
On the bright side I was successful (for the first time) getting the P3SA to recognize commands from my Faderfox EC4 - but I did have to save the MIDI commands on the desktop computer and send them over as template.

Yeah this happened a few stable versions ago with my S49 mkIII. I rolled back to a previous stable release, then 2 releases later it was fixed and I updated again.
Happily more people have push and use it with midi controllers now, so I’d hope this gets fixed before coming out of beta this time….

Was it working for you in the latest stable release? If so they’ve broken it in beta again
