I have the issue, as has every other Push 3 I've interacted with. For me, I had to adjust my pressure when using MPE instruments. I push a lot harder than I realize. I now keep the sensitivity at the default and it isn't a big issue now. I can crank up the sensitivity if I have to.

I honestly think this is just a design flaw.

Not everyone is having this issue, so we can doubt that we're facing a design flaw. And there's definitely room to tweak this on the software side, which is something that was done since the release.
Did you contact Support about this? Maybe your unit is defective.

I have this problem as well.

All pads in the center trigger pad above and below when sliding up and down on pad. Pads on the edges seem to work fine
I got a replacement unit and it does not have this problem.

In fact, it dosent seem to have any problem and is working as intended. Hooray :)

They've been working on pad-related code in the latest beta that just came out, so if anyone still has issues its worth joining the beta and trying that version.

I just updated to the latest Beta release. The problem is resolved for me. I previously had to set the threshold to around 42, I now have it back to O and no problems anymore.

oddly, this issue just started for me. My Push 3 was perfect and now after trying the Live 12 beta, this behavior has started for me. This really, really sucks, as i went through three different Push 2's because of pad issues.

I opened up a support ticket a few hours ago. For the sake of other internet travelers, below is a link to a video that I made of a problem that I have noticed with the pads on a Push 3 controller.

Relevant timepoints to watch out for:
15 seconds, 29 seconds, 38 seconds - 45 seconds, 52 seconds
