it's not that I'm impatient (and besides, I perfectly understand that support is overwhelmed when a new product is launched)
it's just that there is the "30-day deadline"...
and honestly, with the problems/disappointments that are piling up with this product, I don't know if I'm going to keep it...
hence my "impatience" with the deadline...

I’ve already asked to return it and clear some of the issues have cannot be fixed in software and not prepared to spend £1700 with those faults, they haven’t responded so chased again!

I've reported it too and will wait for a reply. I think, the 30-day deadline is only when you want to return it for no certain reason. If there's a real hardware problem, you should be able to return or switch it even after that 30 days. But please correct me, if I'm wrong.

you're absolutely right
but the small difference is that within 30 days, you can get a full refund, whereas after that it's just an "exchange".
so you have to be sure you want to keep it...
it may be a machine full of promise, but when you see the current state of the firmware it makes you think...

I agree with you on all points. If I don't get a satisfactory answer from Ableton, I will return the device within the deadline.

I have no doubt Support isn't going to deduct you days THEY took to answer you. They're in a rush, but they're willing to find the best solution for everyone.

On my unit when powered with the included p/s, I can confirm there is consistent lower-db noise. It does not sound like typical ground noise.

It does not increase or decrease when changing the headphone volume.

It does not increase or decrease with different *circuits*, either (and I have two 20a circuits dedicated to audio and am very careful regarding ground loops.)

It is consistent across headphones, albeit a bit quieter on my DT-700s and much less noticeable.

If I remove power, the perceived noise disappears (to my ears.)

I've tried placing an Ebtech HumX inline and it has no effect on the noise.

Personally, I don't expect perfection and it is tolerable to me (iow, I didn't expect or PAY for RME quality audio here), therefore I'm not up in arms -- simply providing info.

I will report it to support when/if it becomes an issue for me.

I will also try with an alternative power supply at my first opportunity.

I also have what seems to be some sort of earthing problem.

It only happens on a USB port that powers the device (60w fast charge port), and is independent of USB cable (the original cable or 3 others of differing lengths and speeds.

If I plug in the Push3 standalone PSU in then the noise attenuates, but is only really acceptable if I use the lower power USB ports on the back of my PC.

I have yet to contact support about this, I do think they are aware of the issue as some reviewers said they were told you could not charge it over USB.

Wait, what? Is this device not able to charge via USB-C using power delivery? I need to test right away.

later edit: It does charge via USB-C. That's good.

You should definitely contact support. This noise that you're all talking about in this thread is definitely not something that everyone is experiencing, so that might be a hardware issue (especially since some hear it with the PSU only, and others with USB only)
Also, P3S can be charged via its USB-C port, using a 65W, 20, 3A power bank.
